High School Girl Warrior

Chapter 105 – The reincarnated girl’s ordinary day

(Momoka’s PoV)

“How troublesome…” I muttered as I glanced at my dragons.

No. 1 was slightly injured.

No. 2 and No. 3 had slightly reduced flight ability right now.

And No. 4… Needs to be healed as soon as possible.

I made a bitter expression as I flew through the gaps in-between buildings.

Leveling up and becoming stronger means nothing if someone is careless… Like I just was.

We were attacked just a few minutes ago… By players.

“Share.” I muttered, sharing my dragons’ vision with me, so as to better search for a place to rest.

But then…

A shining gold coin appeared right in front of me.

This is bad!

Horrified, I clenched my teeth and accepted the reality. I had no choice but to use No. 4 as a shield.

A loud sound echoed; a bright flash of light enveloped the four flying dragons.

And then, No. 4’s death scream roared loudly as it fell on the ground.

The smell of its burnt scales also entered my nostrils…

For now, I had to make an emergency landing on the road directly below us, which ended up crushing a few zombies that were nearby.

I heard a loud, high-pitched laugher, “Serves you right!”

The one that laughed was a fairly short girl with a particularly loud voice. She was a hobbit.

That woman was wearing a child’s cowboy hat and stood in front of my dragons with a fearless smile.

“You’re persistent…” I muttered.

“One should pay back what they owe!” She exclaimed.

For now, I used Skill Appraisal.

“Don’t mock us!” I heard another girl shout.

This player appeared from behind me.

She was wearing a school blazer, and she seemed to be a normal human instead of a hobbit.

“This… This is revenge for Asuki!” The sorcerer girl shouted.

I sighed.

This is such a bother…

Yet I had a feeling that this would happen.

That’s why it’s so hard for players to understand each other.

It’s because they all think of themselves as special people that were chosen by God.

But that’s not the case at all.

The truth is obvious for anyone that tries thinking about it for a few seconds.

We’re nothing more than mediocre souls who just happened to draw the winning lottery tickets… Why can’t they understand that?

“Your comrade was arrogant and used innocent people as shields. She deserved to die.” I told them.

“W-what…!?” The Sorcerer girl contorted her expression. She seemed to be disgusted.

“No way… For this kind of thing, Asuki was…” The gambler girl muttered.

“If that’s how you react to it, then you too deserve to die.” I told her honestly.

“Shut up! The longer we live, the more people we can save! It’s only natural that we put more worth on our lives than on the lives of ordinary people!” The gambler girl yelled.

I felt like vomiting when hearing her attempt to justify herself.

The dark emotions within me started to burst.

Teacher may be sad if she hears of it, but…

Tumors like these must be removed one by one.

“Nebula.” I muttered, and a sparkling rope of light instantly appeared on the palm of my hand.

The gambler clicked her tongue, “Hey, Mai, let’s-!” She did not have a chance to finish.

In an instant, Nebula moved in a speed far faster than what a human could react to, and made the gambler’s small head start flying high in the air.

“… Eh?” The Sorcerer muttered, seemingly unable to process what had just happened.

It’s a pity that she didn’t even have enough time to regret her actions.

Nonetheless, Nebula undulated like a snake, quickly moved to the back of the Sorcerer’s head, then crushed it like a tomato, scattering her brain’s fluids everywhere.

And then, I sighed in front of the two players that were now unmoving.

I’m glad things worked out better than expected.

The gambler might have been more troublesome if she had prepared better for a battle against a player.

She probably thought of herself as invincible due to her offensive potential… To the point that she didn’t get any Defense nor Magic Resistance skills.

Players often feel like they’re the main characters of a story… They just can’t imagine a situation where they’d be crushed like bugs.

Which leads to this kind of situation…

And just as I thought about this kind of thing…

I heard the sound of something soft hitting the ground.

When I turned in its direction, I saw another player.

“Ah… Ah… Aah…” She muttered as she shivered.

She seemed to be a middle schooler, and she seemed to have just fallen on her butt.

The ground was wet below her, so it seems like she leaked.

Just in case I used Skill Appraisal, but… She’s not worth worrying about. She’s still level 14. She doesn’t even have a job yet.

“E-eek…” She muttered as I approached her.

“Beg for your life?” I suggested.

“… Huh?” She seemed to be confused.

“Why don’t you try begging for your life?” I suggested again.

She stayed silent for a small while.

But then, she opened her mouth again, “I… I… I haven’t killed anyone yet… I haven’t done anything bad…”

“Yeah? And…?” I said.

“I-I-I-I’m just an ordinary girl. I like watching romance movies and comedy shows and and and… And I’m just ordinary. I’ll never do anything bad…” She muttered next.

“Oh, what a coincidence. I like comedy and romance too.” I told her.

“Y-yeah. Those can be quite fun, right?” She seemed to have found a glimmer of hope.

“But no.” I said with an emotionless smile, “No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, it’s time to eat.”

“W-wait-!” The girl shouted.

But in just a moment, my dragons swarmed the nameless player, and I quickly started hearing the sound of chewing and of something cracking.

“P-please… Stop…” I could hear her last words.

But I just let out a sigh and turned my back to her.

“I hate liars…” I muttered.

Goodness… Didn’t her companions tell her about Karma Appraisal?

“What a bunch of garbage people… I really feel like puking.” I said to nobody in particular.

I hope teacher never finds out about this.

In any case, I looked at my watch.

It’s been about a week since I last met teacher.

I’ve gotten some achievements since, so… I guess it’s about time to go home?
