After we finished transferring Rinne and the others to Miyabigaoka, we received a few somewhat happy news from Mr. Sasaki, “We have been talking with some other communities, and our negotiations have been moving forward.”

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“We received a call from Ihongei university, and they were willing to provide us with some firearms and people who can handle them.

“In exchange, we’re going to be providing them with some technicians, personnel, and supplies that they’re lacking.” Mr. Sasaki explained.

“I see… Well, let me ask you just in case… It was a fair deal, right? They didn’t try threatening you or anything, did they?” I asked.

Mr. Sasaki started laughing, “Goodness, you’re talking just like a mother.”

Is he for real…?

Does he have any idea of how it feels to be referred to as a ‘mother’ by someone on his fifties?

“Don’t worry, the negotiations are progressing in an acceptable manner.” He told me.

Well, that’s good then.

In fact, it’s helpful to have more firearms over here.

Smashing a zombie’s head may be hard for most, but pulling the trigger of a pistol probably feels much easier.

Though guns are quite noisy and can easily attract more zombies, so there are pros and cons to them.

“Besides, having some ruffians around can be useful in an emergency. Aren’t they usually the first to fall in zombie movies?” Mr. Sasaki commented.

“Haah…?” I was bewildered by his words.

… Let’s just take this as Mr. Sasaki’s way of joking.

In any case, with this many preparations going on, perhaps the day where this area is cleared of zombies might not be too far off?

And just as I thought that.

I heard a flapping sound over my head.

When I looked at it, I saw Momoka riding the back of a dragon and waving her hand.

Then, she jumped off the dragon’s back and gently landed on the ground.

“Hi, I’m back.” She said.

“Welcome home.” I replied.

She smiled at that, “It’s nice for sure. To have a place to return to.”

Her line reminded me of the final episode of a classic giant robot anime…

“Let’s talk about the progress that we made right away… Or well, that’s what I’d like to say, but I wanted to sort out my thoughts first, so could you come to the rooftop later?” She suggested.

***

Like she asked me to, I went to the rooftop after a small while and…

Somehow, I saw Momoka taking a shower.

“Huh…?” I muttered.

I strained my eyes, wondering if it was a hallucination.

But I definitely wasn’t hallucinating… On this rooftop, under the bright sunlight, Momoka was taking a shower.

“What the…?” I muttered next.

I looked above her and saw something that looked like a small rain cloud, that was about a meter in diameter, and that was pouring warm water from it.

It was quite the unrealistic scene…

“… Is this Water Magic?” I decided to ask.

“Yes. Water Magic V to be specific. I got it fairly recently.

“It’s not a spell that is useful in combat, but it’s nice for doing something like this every once in a while.” She explained.

So it’s a spell that lets you take a shower whenever you want?

… That does sound pretty nice.

“I guess I’ll come back later then.” I told her and was about to turn to leave.

“Ah, no, it’s alright. We’re only girls here anyways.” She replied.

No, that’s not alright. Even if we’re of the same gender, there’s still no way to have a proper discussion with someone who is showering.

And in the first place, why did this girl decide to show off her sexy limbs to me anyways…?

Is this a romantic comedy aimed for boys that has to meet a quota of sex appeal pages in each volume or something?

Momoka didn’t seem to care about any of those things though, as she continued talking while showing her body as she showered, “This past week, I have been traveling around the city.

“Unfortunately, no players were willing to subordinate to you, teacher.”

“I suppose that’s expected.” I replied.

No one would be willing to entrust their fates to a person that they know nothing about.

“However, three players were willing to join us under certain conditions.

“Four players also promised to take hostile action if they met a Hero or a Demon Lord, even if they didn’t want to ally with us.

“One of those players is actually the leader of a guild with over ten players in it, by the way.” Momoka told me.

“There’s a person with this kind of reach?” I asked.

“Yeah. Though as you’re well-aware, there aren’t that many players around, so it’s hard to imagine this many players naturally gathering in one place.

“The leader probably has some kind of special skill that enabled it.” Momoka replied.

“Oh? So you don’t know what skill it is either?” I asked.

“I may have reincarnated, but I don’t know all the skills and jobs available.

“That said, as far as I have seen, there doesn’t seem to be anyone that has a higher level than me right now.” Momoka said with a bit of pride in her voice, then continued, “Also, there’s one player who didn’t want to ally with us either, but promised to use their spirits to give us information if they found out anything about the Hero or the Demon Lord.”

So there’s another Spirit Tamer other than the one we fought before…

“And lastly, there is one player who wants the current situation to continue on forever.” Momoka told me.

“The current situation? That means…” I muttered.

“Of course. Zombies and monsters roaming around. This person wants to live with those beings forever.” Momoka confirmed my grim thoughts.

“… Some people are really weird, aren’t they?” I commented.

“Yeah… But do be careful, teacher. This person seems to have regarded us as enemies.” Momoka said.

“That’s troublesome…” I replied.

“I’m sorry… If I had been a bit better at negotiating, this wouldn’t have happened.” Momoka apologized.

“Is this place safe though?” I asked.

“It should be. I’ve shaken that person off.

“Also, I scattered my dragons around to not let the player easily figure out my location.

“However, just in case, I figure I should probably avoid coming to this place for a while… It’s unfortunate, but it’s necessary.” Momoka told me.

Mmmm… After thinking for a small bit, I decided to ask, “By the way, what’s the job of this player?”

“Dark Knight. And the player is Evil.” She replied.

“Oh, Dark Knight…” I muttered.

Ain’t that so cool? The kind of class that consumes HP to attack all enemies?

The eight grader living within my heart suddenly came out in full force.

“Also, Dark Knight is a special high-level job that can only be acquired by someone that is level 80 or higher.

“That person is quite dangerous for you right now, teacher. I don’t think you can take them on as is.” Momoka told me.

“Ah… That does sound pretty bad.” I nodded.

“It is. So, even it’s unreasonable to say this after you’ve just come back, I’d like to ask you to come with me to the Dungeon to raise your level right away, teacher. You ready for it?” Momoka asked.

Mmmmm… I was hoping to enjoy a peaceful everyday life for a bit longer.

But… “Even if I say I don’t want to, you’re still gonna force me to go anyways, won’t you, Momoka?” I asked.

“Of course.” Momoka nodded while stopping the Water Magic and exposing her outworldly beautiful elven body in full force, “After all, I need your help to save this world, teacher.”
